Read the experience behind a rating
Look for the activity described: everyday chat, a long roleplay, character creation, images or voice. A rating about one activity does not evaluate all of them.
The following excerpts describe specific features and a limitation members encountered. They are individual comments from our community, not a representative survey or an independent aggregate score.
I really wanted a chatroom where the AI can send generated pictures and not get out of Kyn while role playing.
Didn't get the hair right? Edit. Wrong personality? Edit. Even chat messages can be edited.

Try a conversation you can evaluate
Choose an adult character and give the scene a clear setting and objective. For example, ask a fictional archivist to help identify the next clue in a museum mystery. Continue for several turns and see whether the objective and tone remain understandable.
Correct one detail and check how the next response handles it. If a long thread loses an earlier fact, try a concise recap rather than judging memory from a single surprising answer.
Check control as well as the first result
For a custom Kyn, change one personality or background field at a time and keep track of the version used in the thread. For images, hold the model and character constant while changing one prompt detail.
For video, compare the starting image, mode, duration and requested movement. A strong still portrait does not guarantee a clean moving clip, and a different mode can change both output and cost.
Decide from your own pattern of use
If you mainly want text conversation, compare chat access and the model available to you. If you want media, inspect the image entitlement, video quota and any credit charge separately.
Keep a short list of what worked and what did not. This is more useful for your next session than treating one star score as a prediction of every possible experience.

Is Soulkyn good for roleplay?
Try the kind of roleplay you want to continue: a clear character, setting and goal across several turns. Check tone, continuity and how corrections are handled. Different Kyns and model settings can produce different experiences.
Are the home-page testimonials an independent rating?
No. They are member testimonials. They should not be treated as an independent aggregate score or as a guarantee that another user will have the same experience.
What should I test before buying a plan?
Try a representative conversation, then check the specific paid features you need. Separate chat access, character tools, images, video and voice instead of assuming that one result evaluates the whole plan.
